Happiness

September 29, 2008 2:07 AM

It has been a rough time lately, for myself and some people in my life, so I have been working on a list of some things that make me happy.

Obviously that is not everything, but I think it is a good start.

What makes you happy?

I pretty much have been doing this on my Xanga, but here's a few:

tight, long-lasting hugs (from certain people... not just anybody... CREEPY)

The Office (shallow, maybe... don't care)

cruising in my car w/ friends, blasting my music, and singing along really loudly

when people (such as Cara, or even a movie) make me laugh so hard I start literally crying, and it doesn't even resemble laughter anymore

getting messages in any form, any time. (includes mail, e-mail, IM, Facebook, MySpace, LJ, Twitter, text, phone, etc.)

that's enough.

way to represent, Hyde. you forgot to mention busting out your kitchen pot stash. :)

Things that make me happy:

hugs, cuddling, the sound of the wind blowing through the trees, robots, buying records, driving with the windows down and the heat blowing on cool autumn nights, and holding Jason's hand to name a few :)

Clearly...you make me happy.
Friend's blogs make me happy.
Watching tv with you in your damp and dark basement...how creeepy does that sound!? ;)
Inside jokes.
Friends coming over at all hours of the night, crying with me and making sure I'm alright.
Hug time.
Getting As on papers that I thought I'd get a D on.
Random texts.
Pumpkin.
Fall.
Dreaming.
Eating [duh]
Bloomington.
Babies!
Fond memories [like our date!]
BSG, The Office, Lost!
Smelling good.

I'm so happy that you have a sound bite of Alan's laugh. It always brings a big grin to my face. I think I could find Alan in a crowd if he started laughing. :)

I used to keep a gratitude journal. Every evening I wrote in it five things that I was grateful for. I haven't written in it for months. I think it became less important as I learned to become more grateful all the time; but then again, maybe I should resume the practice.
