Dehibernating
Stretches and yawns.
Did you just yawn? Behold, the power of hearing/reading/smelling “yawn.”
I have had a lot of thoughts swirling through my head. I realize I should be more proactive about working through them by writing. Every time I have tried to write, though, I have felt demotivated. “Oh, hello Netflix. Yes, please.” I think some of the demotivation might be seasonal blahs. I am eager for warmer spring and summer weather to get here. And sunshine.
On the other hand, I have felt motivated to develop and contribute to the indieweb. That is a little surprising in itself, because my day job is writing code and here I am spending some of my off-hours writing personal code. That's a good thing, though. I have always enjoyed working on my site and I am glad work stress has not sapped that from me. I even started up a Chicago chapter of the Homebrew Website Club.
Last week I decided to start going to Everybody's Coffee at least once a week to work. It's a nice environment, the coffee is great, and I think it will be quite helpful to get out of the apartment and around people. It worked well last Friday and I am planning to go again tomorrow.
So here's to de-demotivation and dehibernating!

“when you’re lost out there and you’re all alone...a light is waiting to carry you hooooome...
doobie doo bop badda!”
I had to.
