ANSWER'D 3: Not in 3D!
Thanks for the grood questions! Here are my answers. They are rather link-tastic, by the way.
From Suzi: “What new music artists/groups are you really excited about?”
The Naked and Famous (youthful / not sure / fun)
This Will Destroy You (ambient / rock)
Sourhaze (ambient / electronica)
“What is your 5 year plan?” and “What things are on your 'bucket list'?”
I do not have either, currently. I'm not sure I ever really have, though I have certainly set goals for myself; sometimes with a timeline. A similar question was asked last time about ambitions. At the time, I said I wanted to finish my degree, live in California for a while, and become debt free. In the last year, I am pleased to say I have become debt free and finally graduated. I am kind of at one of those unsure “new chapter” parts of my life right now. I am investigating the possibility of house-sitting as a way to travel and try out living in different areas. This could work very well with my job since I can telecommute. I would like to woo and have an awesome relationship. I would like to try my hand at making some electronic music, even though I know nothing about making music, currently. I would like to continue podcasting and hopefully keep making people laugh. I would like to meet Conan O'Brien and shake his hand. I would like to get back into photography. I would like to try acting in a film (indie is fine). Ok, I guess I have started a bucket list, now.
From Allison: “What is your favorite page from your David Hasselhoff calendar, and why?”
August; the striped suit is sharp.
“Why do you, as a straight male, watch Glee?”
I think it is well-written. It's a funny and unique idea for a TV show.
“Who is your 2nd favorite character and why? (The first is also a given. Obvs.)”
#1 Sue Sylvester. #2 Brittany. Brittany has some of the funniest lines. I'm not sure if either is what you were thinking; this is the first time I have ever really considered the question.
“What is your favorite brand of laundry detergent?”
No favorite, really. I usually have used Tide.
“Is a chair still a chair even though there's no one sitting there?”
Ok, Glee question quota reached. You're cut off. :)
“Who is your favorite character on Community? Also, tell the Gregor fans why they should be watching it.”
That's tough. All of them are pretty awesome. Probably Abed and Troy. My blog, my rules, I can pick two. :)
Um, watch it because it's funny, and because I watch it?
From Rachelskirts: “HOW DO YOU BE SO SHORT?”
Step 1: Get ready to BE SO SHORT
Step 2: BE SO SHORT!
Word. Word. Word.
“DO YOU LIKE ANGELINA JOLIE?”
I LOVE ANGELINA JOLIE! SHE'S GOT ENORMOUS LIPS.
Ironically, I did just receive some spam email with the subject: “Angelina Jolie invited you to join Facebook.” FATE.
“A SLICE OF GIORDANO'S PIZZA OR THE SUPERHUMAN ABILITY TO SHOOT LASER BEAMS FROM YOUR EYES?”
Is this a “you can only have one or the other, forever” question? If yes, then I would say Giordano's pizza. If no, then I would say Giordano's pizza. Now I'm hungry.
From Jeremiah: “When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?”
For a while I wanted to be an architect. I tried drawing and was not very good freehand, but I was good with straight lines and liked the idea of designing buildings. At one point I drew out a house that I wanted to then build a cardboard model of, but that never happened. I enjoyed mechanical drawing in high school, too, but I really was not passionate about being an architect by that point.
“When did your plans change?”
In high school when I realized I was not that passionate about being an architect. I was not sure what I wanted to do, so I took a year after high school and interned with Teen Mania Ministries in Texas. At that time in my life I was considering going to a Christian college and into some form of ministry. More things changed and I ultimately decided to stay here and get a Computer Science degree. That way I could be involved in ministries at home, not go into massive debt, and it was something I knew I was passionate about.
“Are you content with what you're doing now?”
I am pretty content working in web programming, though I would like to branch out more into other types of programming (mobile apps) and maybe even design.
From Lauren: “If you were able to go back in time for one day where would you go, why?”
Twin Pines Mall in 1985. I would steal a Delorean so I could time-travel whenever I wanted to.
“What’s been the one most consistent thing in your life?”
...ladies.
“What is one movie you can watch over and over again without getting tired of it?”
Star Wars original trilogy. For a less obvious answer, though: Ghost World.
From Isha: “What is your biggest fear in life?”
Man, the vulnerable questions. I fear being truly hopeless. Runner-up: I fear my future marriage failing.
“If you looked into the Mirror of Erised what would you see?”
Myself full of hope and peace.
“If you could meet one person alive/dead, who would it be? Why?”
This is one of those questions I have not thought about much, but many answers come to mind, largely based on the mood. Since it is late as I write this, and I'm tired, and I just answered two serious questions—I would say Ben Stiller, so he could cast me in Zoolander 2.
“If you could hang out with one Harry Potter character, who would you choose?”
I think that would have to be Dumbledore. I'm sure he would have some wise things to impart, plus maybe I could use the Pensieve.
“If you had the chance to fly anywhere and spend a week there, where would you go?”
The Island.
From Dan: “If you had to choose between my mom or myself to save from invading aliens, who would you save?”
Your mom. Sorry, sorry. Sorry.
From Sarah: “What kind of Star Trek or Star Wars character would you be?”
Han Solo. The one that shot first. “Who's scruffy-looking?”
Also, Star Wars > Star Trek.
“Why are manhole covers round?”
A round manhole cover cannot fall through the opening, whereas a square cover could if you turned it diagonally.
“If you were a salad, what kind of dressing would you have?”
French ... Mesdames.
