Finally

This hasn't really been “bugging” me, but I have been wondering about it for a while. “A Praise Chorus” by Jimmy Eat World has lyrics in it from other songs, like several other songs. But me not being as musically diverse as others, I didn't know what lines they were, or which songs they came from. They have an FAQ about it on their site, but it just says they'll have a list of the songs “up soon” (riiight)

I found today on MTV.com at least a partial list, perhaps complete:
Billy Idol's “Dancing With Myself”
Joan Jett's “Crimson And Clover”
Madness's “Our House”
They Might Be Giants' “Don't Let's Start”
Motley Crue's “Kickstart My Heart”

I found this out because it's on the page with the streaming video for the song. It's a cool video, live and tour footage. There are some big-looking shows on there.. I'm glad they're getting “noticed” more, they rock.

Of course, you realize I'm cooler than all the new fans, because I listened to them before they made it big, back when they were underground. Yeah! </indier-than-thou>

jimmy eat world is awesome.. but i've seen them live twice, and i must say i do not like their live show at all.

i'm not cool. i just found out about them this summer on weqx.com (our local kick-ass radio station. cheers to www.xanga.com/bekah_jean for the intro on that one.
anyway, bekah got it for me for my bday.
i am so mainstream, follow-the-crowd.
my worth is next to nothing. i am not indie at all.

daniel, you are flipping WRONG> incase, you didn't see JEW's latest tour that came through... it was one of the best shows I have ever been to in my life... what the hey man? you just must haven't been to many shows or played many yourself. that video was great gregor.. interesting about their lyrics, i had no idea!

no actually i'm not wrong.. i said i don't like their live show. and that is correct, i really don't.

maybe i caught them on bad nights.. but i've also seen them on some tv shows and i didn't like it much.

and I have been to MANY shows and played MANY myself.. So I have plenty of shows to compare them to.

I didn't see the latest tour, but one of my friends went to that, who is also a huge JEW fan, and he said that they sucked live.

But that's just our opinions. I could listen to the cd a million times a day and not get tired of it. But I don't wanna see them live anymore.
