I used to drive hours to attend concerts. A lot of bands would come to Chicago or Cincinnati, but not Indianapolis. Once I moved to Chicago, practically any artist I wanted to see would play there eventually, so it's been years since I had to drive far for a concert.

Last week we drove to Seattle to see Sufjan Stevens. The hour and a half drive each way brought back fond memories. There were many times we would drive three hours to Chicago for a show at the Metro, returning home the same night. The late nights were worth it.
