It was even more frustrating to hear him make the appeal that we need to stand up for the personhood of the unborn, while still holding up the notion of “the sword” being delegated by God to a nation. I don't find the pro-life position and God-gives-a-monopoly-on-violence-to-nations position compatible at all.
