What's New

Been a little while, suppose I should post something.

I have a job at FedEx now. Tonight is the last night of orientation, then tomorrow I'll actually be working - “in the sort” as they say. I'm a bit nervous, but last night they took us on a tour of the place and I think it will be pretty cool, maybe even fun. Monotonous, yeah most likely, but it's fast-paced so the time will fly.

I'm reading “How to Win Friends and Influence People” - yes, the somewhat corny sounding book title that's often satirized. ;] But in all seriousness, it is a really great book. And despite the name it's not like it's for people who have no social skills, or people who don't have friends and thus need to “win” them. Everyone can make acquaintances, even become friends with people, but there are a lot of things people can learn to put into practice to make their lives and friendships better. Everyone should read this book, seriously. I'll write more about it once I'm finished with it.

I've also begun reading the Bible chronologically, which should be pretty interesting. I'm just getting started, so I'm in Genesis, obviously.

Then there is “The Dilbert Principle”, which is classic office humor; one of the best cartoons ever.

I'm getting paid on Friday - who wants to go roller-skating this weekend?

I loved the Dilbert Principle. Very much. I really like Scott Adam's books that have lots of words and not just comics, though I love the comic collections, too. I'm dying to read “God Debris”.
