Long time no see
I didn't post at all during December, that's kind of surprising. I suppose I got tired of it for a while there or just did not have much to share (with the whole world, at least). Of course another factor was the desire to get gL4 up - more time was spent on that than on coming up with witty posts for the masses. :]
So for Christmas I flew down to Tyler, Texas to visit my dad, stepmom, stepbrother and his family. It was a nice, relaxing time. The weather was in the 60s and sunny the entire time, so it was like having Christmas in Spring. The only detractor of the trip was getting sick on Christmas Eve (in the middle of the night actually, so technically on Christmas). Like, puke your guts out sick. I felt like I had a fever most of Christmas day, but lots of hot tea and napping helped. Despite feeling sick, watching my niece and nephew (ages 8 and 2, respectively) open their humongous pile of presents was great. I don't remember the last time I've spent Christmas with little kids; it was a lot of fun to watch.
New Years wasn't much to talk about. I had planned on going to the Deckard's for their party but I found out a day or so beforehand that they weren't having it this year. There was another party I could have gone too but didn't feel like driving to the north side, so I just chilled at home.
So here's the new site. The wife application is back, and updated. There are now “tags” for the weblog so you can browse through similar posts. I've only tagged a few so far, but I'll be tagging previous entries as time permits. The humor section is gone, but I'll be putting them in the weblog with the tag “humor”, so they're only gone temporarily.
Perhaps the coolest new thing is that you can rate my weblog hotornot. In the right sidebar, click on the first badge and you can vote. The badge shows the current score, too. This is the sort of thing the internet was made for!
So take a look around the site and let me know what you think. Happy (belated) New Year.
