All things go, all things grow
Yesterday was the epitome of why God created weekends.
First I hung out with a group of friends that I don't often see together (living in different states will do that) and ate some good food prepared by Josh's awesome parents. You can't leave their house hungry.
Then I went to the Thai Cafe with Jenn. We usually go there when she's in town because it's her favorite Thai restaurant ever. I had Preow Wahn, which is chicken stir fried with bell peppers, tomatoes, onions and pineapples in a sweet and sour sauce. Mmmm.
Finally, lest you think yesterday was entirely about food, we went to the Sufjan Stevens concert, which was amazing. Seven-person string section, horns, piano, drums, guitars, banjo, bells (and yes - whistles). The music ranged from mellow to epic and sounded as good - if not better - than his recordings. Symphonic, folksy pop at its finest. I definitely recommend seeing him live if you get the chance. Here are some mp3s if you're not familiar with his music:

You're right - this weekend was DEFINITELY the epitome of why God created weekends. And people. :)
So I see that you were reading my xanga. Stalker.
First, if I knew how to make the pictures bigger, I would've, smarty pants.
Second, SUFJAN! I am totally listening to Seven Swans right now... and so sad that I missed the tickets when they were available in my price range.

Sounds perfect. I'm a little jealous - my weekend seems to have evaporated into thin air.
