Thinking of Snow
Indiana was home for me for a big chunk of my life. I made a lot of formative friendships there. I haven’t lived there since 2011, but I was usually back there for Christmas with my mom. She moved to Montana in 2017. She’s loving it out there, so I am happy for her, but I do miss Christmas in Indiana. In the early 2000s, a group of friends started a Christmas Eve brunch at Bob Evans. It was a fun tradition I kept going over many years, but unfortunately no more.
This Christmas I am going to visit my dad in Florida. It’s been too long since I’ve spent Christmas with him, so I am looking forward to it. This will be my third Christmas in a row in warm weather, though. I might need to travel to the mountains a bit this winter to get my snow fix.
